🌿 STAGE 6: AGE 7–8 (Grade 1 – The Awakening of Imagination)

🌟 Main theme: “Learning through stories and symbols”

Steiner considered this the “birth of the conscious self” — when the child can truly begin to think symbolically.

Children this age are exploring moral contrasts. Steiner used fables and saint stories to mirror this.

A deep developmental shift: the child begins to feel individuality (“I am me”). They need grounding through practical life and real-world skills.
